Summer 2007’

 

I feel truly blessed to have had this experience

 

        My quest was most definitely a musical one and I got plenty!

It goes like this. I went to Spain for the first time since I was about 10 years old with an old friend from California, His Name is Adrian Rogers and to make a long story short. We both fell in love with Flamenco and Gypsy culture, but he had the good fortune to live in Spain on and off for about three years before this trip. Adrian was my tour guide to Granada which we spent our entire trip. What I want to share is mostly the many hours of music I recorded while being there. Much of which is now my favorite music to listen to. It’s not only because I recorded this music personally but I truly feel blessed to have experienced what I was actually searching for. Flamenco is not for everyone but at least you could agree with the technical genius that this music has attained.  Enjoy!!!

Famous Guitar builder J. Lopez Bellido in Granada-video

Short video of J. Lopez Bellido, A famous guitar builder in Granda Spain Summer 2007 working on a guitar. I played his guitars and found them incredible but ended up buying from another maker, Rafael Moreno, another incredible builder from Granada.

 

 

 

Young flamenco dancer-Video

Beautiful young girl maybe 12 years old dancing in a cave in the Sacromonte of Granada, Spain summer 2007' Followed by an older  and also beautiful dancer.  The music consists of one guitarist, singers, palmist ( clappers ) and the sounds of the dancers feet. Very powerful to the Rhythm of Bulerias.
